Planting a GardenFair Housing Council of Riverside County, Inc.

Mission Statement:

To Provide comprehensive services which affirmatively address and promote fair housing (anti-discrimination) rights, and further other housing opportunities for all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (prence of children), disability, ancestry, age marital status, source of income or other arbitrary factors.

Fund Usage:

The funds received from Dollar Days will be used to help the agency provide funding for residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, get into permanent housing by providing security deposits and/or First months rent, or one month of rent if being evicted.

Corona Homeless Task Force

Mission Statement:

To advocate for homeless families and assist them by providing temporary shelter, case management, collaboration with the City of Corona and other service providers. Our intent is to develop mutual respect with clients and encourage each adult towards achieving self sufficiency.

Circle of Hope Family Shelter

The Circle of Hope Family Shelter in Corona, California is the last resort housing for many families with children ranging in age from newborn to 18 years old. Over 50 percent of the homeless persons served in our shelter are children under 10 years of age. In Riverside County, almost 5000 people are homeless and of that 1 in 5 are school-aged children. Fund Usage: 

Dollar Day funds will be use for shelter operations for both emegency and transitional programs.

Jefferson Transitional Program

Mission Statement:

JTP provides vocational, sober living support and educational programs for individuals with chronic mental illness or individuals with both mental illness and addictions, many of whom are homeless. We offer both dignity and compassion for individuals to attain recovery and self-sufficiency. Funding From Dollars Days will be used to continue our program.

Path of Life Ministries

Mission Statement:

To help people become productive in life by addressing barriers of dysfunction through the process of rescuing, restoring and rebuilding lives.

Program Details:

Year Round Riverside Emergency Shelter - The shelter program is an intervention to impede homelessness because of the easy access to shelter care as a low-impact point of entry program. Shelter clients are introduced to a variety of supportive services in a safe and clean environment. The goal is to provide stabilization from the streets and guide shelter clients towards self-reliance through an intake / assessment process and an active case management plan with weekly monitoring is performed through the Access Center. (64 Beds – Men, Women & Children).

Cold Weather Shelter Program - The homeless shelter is a hypothermia shelter program during the cold and wet winter months. It is a place to learn about trusting shelter care. Shelter clients are offered case management and encouraged to work on self-reliance activities.  (56 Beds – Men, Women & Children)

Family Shelter - This is a transitional shelter program for families. Services are offered on a continuous year round basis with intake / assessment and intensive case management that seamlessly coordinate with the Year Round Riverside Emergency Shelter and Access Center. The goal for all shelter clients is self-reliance through employment and permanent housing.  (50 Beds – Families)

King Hall Women & Children’s Shelter - King Hall Phase 1 provides emergency shelter for women with children. Shelter clients are taken in and assessed for program eligibility through the Year Round Emergency Shelter’s Access Center. After placement, clients receive supportive services and an active case management plan is established and monitored. (36 Beds – Women with Children)

Funding from Dollar Days will be used to continue to provide a warm bed for a child at night.

Valley Restart of Hemet

Mission Statement:

Our Mission is to provide essential services to families, adults, and children who lack basic resources to sustain themselves within our community. The Goal is to provide emergency services to  help the homeless and low-income families avoid homelessness, restart lives, and to break the cycle of homelessness. To Teach…to train…to restart lives…  Our 24-hour facility is open every day of the year to provide housing and food to those in need. This is a working shelter. The residents help support the program with the upkeep of the facility and their work in our community.

Fund Usage:

Valley Restart Shelter will use the Dollar Day funds for operation and essential services at our emergency shelter: no funds will be used for administration

Project Touch
"Together Our Unity Conquers Homelessness"

 

Project Touch is the catalyst that bridges Individual and Collective Bodies of Faith within our communities together with civil and business organizations to effectively overcome homelessness and establish effective methods of homeless prevention.
